Rising Star and Organist, Alcee Chriss III, Takes the Stage for the Young Artist Classical Series
Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, the Kravis Center is a professional performing arts center that presents a diverse schedule of national and international artists and companies of the highest quality. Coming to the Kravis Center on January 26th, the prestigious Alcee Chriss III will be perform.
Praised for his grace, skill, and proficiency, Alcee has performed around the United States and in France. Alcee has quickly emerged as a “rising star” after winning multiple prestigious competitions, including the 2017 Canadian International Organ Competition, and the 2014 Miami International Organ Competition.
Diapason praised him in its 2016 class of “20 under (age) 30,” the magazine’s annual recognition of exceptional performers to watch. Alcee, who earned two degrees at Oberlin Conservatory, now pursues his doctoral degree at McGill University, studying with Hans-Ola Ericsson. His performance will feature The George W. Mergens Memorial Organ, a gift to the Center for Alex W. Dreyfoos.
The Young Artists Classical Series is sponsored by Harriett M. Eckstein New Art Fund. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to performance and we recommend that you allow time for parking. We look forward to seeing you there!
