Hot, Rich, and Filling, Gumbo Is the Perfect Fall Meal! Sample Dozens of Varieties at This Festival

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Inc. is excited to host the second annual Boca GumboFest on Saturday, November 16th from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Red Reef Park. GumboFest is poised to be a fun, unique, daytime fundraising event that should be a blast for the public to enjoy while raising money for Gumbo Limbo. Don’t miss it this weekend!

GumboFest features hand-picked local chefs preparing their very best gumbos to be crowned the Grand Gumbo Master of South Florida. Prepare your taste buds for some delicious gumbo from the chefs behind beloved restaurants like Funky Buddha Brewery, Tucker Dukes, Boca Beach Club, and more. Funky Buddha Brewery's draft van will be serving beer to the guests, and a cocktail tent will be on-site with a variety of drinks for those preferring spirits!

This event is a fun way for adults to enjoy food, beverages, and rocking music, all while soaking up the beautiful Floridian sunshine. Live music starts with the VIP featured act, The Lubben Bros, followed by The Sheffield Brothers Band providing tunes for the rest of the day. Gumbo Bucks will be available at the event to exchange with vendors so you can enjoy gumbo and the drinks. All proceeds from Gumbo Bucks benefit Friends of Gumbo Limbo.

As a beacon for environmental education, research, and conservation, Gumbo Limbo’s 20 acres on the protected barrier island provide refuge to many varieties of plants and animals.
